One of the first actors who managed to break the monopoly of the three Khans at the box office, Kumar has enjoyed one of his best phases of his career till date in 2007. His first release, Namastey London was critically and commercially successful in both India and overseas. The film went on to become a huge hit & grossed close to 50 crores making it one of the top hits of 2007.

His second release was funny man Sajid Khan's directorial debut film Heyy Babyy. The movie did extremely well at the box office and also grossed over Rs. 50 crores in India. His third release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a big box office success too and is being counted amongst the biggest success stories in 2007.
