American actress/singer Jennifer Hudson has offered a 100,000-dollar reward for the safe return of her seven-year old nephew, who went missing after the brutal murder of her mother and brother on October 24.

Officials have issued an AMBER alert, and Hudson has also issued a plea for help in finding her nephew Julian King.

'Thank you for all your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely,' the New York Postquoted Hudson, 27, as having written on her MySpace Web page.

'If anyone has any information about his whereabouts, please contact the authorities immediately. Here is a picture of Julian and what he was last seen wearing. Once again, thank you all for being there for us through this tough time. Sincerely, The Hudson Family,' the former Amercian Idol finalist wrote.

Hudson's representative Lisa Kasteler issued a statement announcing the reward on her behalf.

'Jennifer and her family appreciate the enormous amount of love, support and prayers they have received while she and her family try to cope with this tragedy and continue the search for Julian,' the statement said.

'We ask that all inquiries be directed to the Chicago Police Department, Area 1 Detective Division at 312/747-8380,' it added.

Tom Cruise's two-part interview on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" includes a snowmobile ride and a frank discussion of his rocky media image, followed by an in-studio celebration of Risky Business 25 years ago, a person close to the production said on Wednesday.

Cruise talks candidly with Winfrey about his personal life, said the person, who was not authorized to speak publicly about the show and requested anonymity. He discusses his childhood, life with wife Katie Holmes and their daughter Suri, Scientology and a 2005 appearance on "The Today Show" in which he criticized psychiatry and the use of anti-depressant drugs.

Cruise and Winfrey are long time friends, but they have not seen each other since his infamous couch-jumping incident on her show three years ago, the person said. The actor is currently in talks to star in the fourth Mission: Impossible film.

For Friday's show, Winfrey interviewed the 45-year-old actor at his home in Telluride, Colorado, where he shares personal photos and anecdotes with the TV talk-show queen. Monday's episode was taped in front of a studio audience and includes appearances by several celebrities who congratulate Cruise on a career that took off when he danced in his underwear in 1983's Risky Business.

"In his 25 years in the business, Tom Cruise has become the epitome of a true Hollywood star," Warner Home Video senior vice president and general manager Jeff Baker said in a statement Wednesday. "We are very proud of this timeless classic and the film that became his breakthrough role."

The company plans to release a commemorative DVD of the film, a representative said.

Cruise can next be seen on the big screen in Tropic Thunder, set for release in August.

The music launch of the film Dasavatharam -with Kamal Haasan in ten roles was every bit as star-studded an affair as the invitee list had promised. An impressive sum of nine crores was reportedly spent on the event that had Jackie Chan, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Jaya Prada (she also acts in the movie) Malayalam superstar Mammootty, Tamil superstar Vijay and Mallika Sherawat in attendance in addition to the main cast - Asin and Kamal Haasan. The guest of honour was Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

If true, it was money well-spent for Jackie Chan has already agreed to do a movie with producer V Ravichandran (Oscar Films Private Limited) that will also have a top Bollywood star. "Details of the new project will follow the release of the film," was all that Ravichandran was willing to divulge at this stage.

The coup de grace was roping in Jackie Chan who drew an impressive applause from the 10,000-12,000 strong crowd in the Nehru Indoor stadium each time he crinkled his eyes in a smile to the crowd. Mallika Sherawat in a little black Anita Dongre dress with a generous see-through back and midriff was definite eye candy for the crowds. But it was Kamal Haasan who remained the chief attraction for the crowds packed in the stadium. So much so that Big B, observing that a mention of Haasan's name never failed to draw a round of applause, ended his speech by loudly uttering his name thrice in succession which obviously met with loud cheering.

The impressive turnout of actors and fans (quite a few were turned away at the gates) was something of an indicator of the high expectations Haasan acolytes have from Dasavatharam. According to producer Ravichandran, Dasavatha- ram, along with a big budget of 60 crore-the film has an unusual subject that defies categorisation. The work on the film is almost complete and the movie is likely to be released towards the end of May in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Ravi, is confident that the movie will impress audiences across the country. "It's going to be a super-hit all across the country. There are people like Himesh Reshammiya, Jaya Prada and Mallika Sherawat (she plays a small, negative role) who are part of the film, which is going to make it popular even with audiences in the north," he asserted. The film that has got a U certificate from the Censor Board is heavy on special effects and has on board Michael Westmore, the make-up supervisor and designer for Star Trek series and Brian M Jennings for visual effects.

Considering the lukewarm response recent releases have received, this could well be the entertainer to watch out for.

Michael Jackson, The King Of Pop celebrates the 25th anniversary of his record-breaking album Thriller with an exclusive MSN IN Concert special. Live In Bucharest:The Dangerous Tour is the only full length Michael Jackson concert ever recorded for live broadcast. Shot in 1992, the program captures the performer at the pinnacle of his career - moon walking his way through timeless classics such as "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin," "Billie Jean," "Beat It" and of course "Thriller."

Named the "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time" by the Guinness World Records, Jackson is among the most highly acclaimed and influential artists in pop culture. He's been named the World Music Award's Best-Selling Pop Male Artist of the Millennium and the American Music Award's Artist of the Century. He has also been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice: in 1997 as a member of the Jackson 5 and as a solo artist in 2001.

In 1984, Jackson received a record-breaking 12 Grammy nominations, going on to win eight, which stands as the record for most Grammy Awards to be won by anyone in a single year. Seven of Michael's Grammys that year were for Thriller: Album of the Year; Record of the Year ("Beat It"); Best Male Pop Vocal Performance ("Thriller"); Best Engineered Recording, Non-Classical (Thriller); Best Male Rock Vocal Performance ("Beat It"); Best Male R&B Vocal Performance ("Billie Jean"); Best R&B Song ("Billie Jean"). That same year, he took home eight American Music Awards and three MTV Video Music Awards. The following year, "The Making of Michael Jackson's Thriller" took home the Best Video Album trophy at the 27th Annual Grammy Awards.

This year Epic/Legacy Recordings celebrated the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's Thriller, the world's biggest-selling album of all time, with a newly expanded deluxe edition of the phenomenal record-breaking pop culture touchstone.

The Thriller - 25th Anniversary Edition includes the original album in its entirety plus seven bonus tracks and a DVD featuring groundbreaking short films from Thriller ("Thriller," "Beat It," and "Billie Jean") and the artist's Emmy-nominated breakout performance of "Billie Jean" from the legendary "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever" television special.

The newly expanded version of Thriller also premieres six tracks previously unreleased in any form: "Beat It 2008" with Fergie; a new Kanye West remix of "Billie Jean"; a new version of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" with Akon; Will.i.am remixes of "The Girl Is Mine" and "P.Y.T."; and "For All Time," a rare unreleased cut from the original recording sessions, newly mixed and mastered by Michael Jackson.

Originally released in the US 25 years ago, Thriller, Michael Jackson's sixth solo album and second with producer Quincy Jones, rocketed the former child-star lead singer for the Jackson 5 into the stratosphere of international superstardom. Introducing the "robot" and the "moonwalk" into the international lexicon of clubland dance moves via the pulsing sounds of Thriller, Michael Jackson revolutionized all aspects of mainstream pop culture and became the world's most popular entertainer in the process.

The original Thriller spent an astounding 80 consecutive weeks in the American Top 10, 37 of those at #1. Seven of the album's original nine tracks became Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 while Individual singles from Thriller reached #1 chart positions in the US, the UK, France, Italy, Australia, Denmark, Belgium, South Africa, Spain, Ireland, New Zealand and Canada.

Thriller made history as the first and only record to be America's top-selling album two years running (1983 and 1984).

In 1985, the Guinness Book of Records named Thriller the Best Selling Album of All Time, an achievement which remains unsurpassed to this day.

Pop superstar Madonna is planning to adopt an Indian baby.

Madonna has abandoned plans to adopt a baby from Africa after getting increasingly frustrated with the bureaucracy. She is now looking to India after having spent her New Year holiday there.

Sources say she will start looking once she is done with the promotional work for her upcoming album Hard Candy.

Her husband Guy Ritchie is reportedly supporting her in this endeavour.

Bollywood choreographer Sandip Soparrkar, who had spent some time with Madonna's family, has also adopted an Indian baby.

"We spoke about how there are so many children in India who need homes", says Soparrkar

According to a source: "Madonna was very taken with Soparrkar. He told her there were orphans who would melt her heart. Guy was against the idea, but when she wants something, she gets it."

"Guy thought Madonna was mad to want to go through it all again. He has always been unsure about adoption as his own mother was adopted and had negative experiences of that. But they talked and talked and decided adopting a baby from India would be easier," the source added.

Cast: Daniel Day-Lewis, Kevin J O’Connor
Direction: Paul Thomas Anderson
Rating: ***

What most of us seek from cinema is emotional sustenance – we want to be with men and women we can admire, be amused by or even detest. Now, Daniel Day-Lewis is an oil tycoon in the America of the 1920s, who has a deep hatred for most people and thinks he can justify that by making pots of money, which he does.

In other words, There will be Blood adapted from an Upton Sinclair novel, hinges for more than two-and-a-half hours on the story of Daniel Plainview who absolutely loathes humankind -- to the extent of caring a damn if his adopted son’s hearing is impaired after an accident.

This man who would be demigod cares for no one but himself, and is self-reliant to get over his hurts and wounds without expecting anyone’s sympathy or care.

Ordinarily, such a character would not have rooted your interest after a while. He is a kind of a megalomaniac Citizen Kane but without Orson Welles’ manic brilliance.

If we stay with the cheating, greed-driven, woman-hating oil king, it’s essentially because he is played superbly by Day-Lewis. Chances are that he will grab his second Oscar (after My Left Foot) for this performance which could have ruined by a lesser accomplished actor.

Throughout ,the production design and cinematography are of the highest technical order. The unusual electronic background music by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, helps considerably in giving the epic an edge. None of the supporting players is worth writing home about, except perhaps for O’Connor who fetches up, claiming that he’s the tycoon’s step-brother. Incidentally, the film’s end is a bit of a let-down.

Still, the movie’s worth look because of Day-Lewis who’s guaranteed to make your matinee.

Her movie career did not amount to much, but Madonna will hope for better luck behind the camera when her directing debut makes its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in February.

Filth and Wisdom, which has been described as a low-budget music-based comedy, stars Richard E Grant, Stephen Graham (Gangs of New York) and Eugene Hutz, the Ukrainian frontman for gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello.

It is among 50 films screening in the Panorama sidebar at the festival, which runs February 7-17, organizers said Thursday.

After a promising starring role in Desperately Seeking Susan, Madonna lost her way with such flops as Shanghai Surprise and Swept Away, which was directed by her husband, Guy Ritchie. On the recording front, she is expected to release a new studio album next year.

Hail guts and gore....

Well if the headline is anything to go by then this film is all about guts, gore and glory, though Rambo is not after any of the three. Unlike the earlier films in this one Rambo is not the one man army though later on in the film he will take on and defeat a number of enemy troops to save the rest.

John Rambo another one to the list of films based on this character has Sylvester Stallone play the part to almost perfection and watching him through the film it’s hard to believe that this actor is 62 years old, him making an action film and starring in it at this stage is really worth watching as it hasn’t cut down on any of the effects of the earlier films.

Though I went into the film with the prior expectation of watching an actor past his prime doing an action sequence I now stand corrected with the powerhouse performance by Stallone.

In this film John Rambo is living a secluded life in the northern region of Thailand operating a long boat service on the Salween River. This film is somewhat based on real life circumstances of what is happening in Burma and the brutal oppression being faced by the peasants and farmers that live there. However watching this film just makes us wonder if Sly was actually into this entire theme, if so then he has really done his ground work well. Hats off to him.

Living a secluded life Rambo just can’t seem to get away from his past and trouble somehow has a knack for finding him, in the film a group of Christian missionaries approach him to take them to the Karen region to deliver aid to the inhabitants. From here on the entire story takes a twist with the missionaries being either killed or captured, its then that the head of the missionaries approaches Rambo to request for help as the embassies are unable to help and if so will be too late and he will have to lead a team of mercenaries that have been hired to do the extraction. However in the end Rambo ends up becoming part of the rescue operation and even winds up rescuing the mercenaries in the end.

John Rambo has Sly come full circle and finally come to terms with what he really is - a killing machine. The start of the film has actual real life footage of that region and the end is just a total killing (literally). Sly has done full justice to the character and it looks as though he was born for the part. Compared to his earlier film Rocky Balboa he has certainly toned his physique and got back into shape.

The film has kept dialogues to a minimum and is used only when necessary, its pure action right from start to finish with some really good likes like ‘live for nothing die for something’. This somehow just adds to the mounting anxiety and feel of the film. Besides this the excessive violence in this film is truly justified and it takes you back to old school action films from the 80’s.

On the whole this film is certainly not meant for the weak hearted and even those who are well suited for this will mostly have their eyes moistened not with the joy of the action but the ending shot which shows John Rambo returning home, in the same clothes he walked out in the first film to the track of Goldsmith’s ‘Coming Home’. Though it’s not as moving as the film Balboa it certainly will bring tears to your eyes. This film will certainly take you back to the First Blood days and is much better than the earlier Rambo sequences, in terms of action, feeling and visual effects. A must watch for die hard Rambo fans.
