Salman Khan is all gung ho about his upcoming project Veer. Written by the superstar himself, Veer will be set in the 1900s with Khan playing the main protagonist. But this time around the actor is not stopping his involvement at just acting and scripting says a source.
“Salman bhai has been involved with Anil Sharma every step of the way. He has been speaking with everyone… from set design to clothes to action. He has begun his own practice and work out regime to get even fitter for the role,” says the source.
The actor is also housing 3-4 horses at his Panvel farmhouse.
“Salman will be doing a lot of action sequences and will be seen atop horses for many scenes. He doesn’t want to use a double for any of the scenes and therefore he makes sure that he spends some amount of time every week at the farmhouse practicing his riding,” says the source.
With Veer being a period film, the costumes are a very big part of the entire set up as well. And it seems Salman has turned to Anahita Shroff Adajania to sort out the look for him and his female lead.
Even though a single scene is yet to be canned for the film, Khan’s Veer has generated immense interest in the industry. Distributors and producers are said to be lining up to get involved in the project and Eros Entertainment is said to have already won the rights to the film
But it’s not just the people with the big money who want a piece of the pie. Leading actresses are also showing a growing interest. At last count Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif had shown interest in the film and while the former two wanted the role for themselves Katrina was hoping to use her beau’s big budget film as a launching pad for younger sister Isabella.
