It was BIG so far, it is bound to be BIGGER from here on. 'Dhak Dhak' Queen Madhuri Dixit has joined the show and stakes have gone further up from here. There would be seven shows in USA over next few days and as is pretty much expected by now (looking at the response in Toronto and Trinidad), they are all already sold out. And yes, Madhuri would be featuring in each of these shows.

Talking about Madhuri, the young ones on the show are already smitten by her charm and grace. That she is gorgeous is hardly a secret but her friendly and cool persona has impressed everyone out there. No wonder, Abhishek, Riteish, Vishal, and Shekhar can't help being mighty impressed by her demeanor.

Further publicity for the tour is on in full swing in LA. There was almost a daylong press conference held in the city and to everyone's mighty surprise, apart from (obvious) arrival of Indian media, there were also dozens of US based media people present for covering the event. Believe it or not but in there were channel representatives from Afghanistan as well as Persia. Yes, there were Indians galore as well (quite a few belonging to 'Desi' channels and web portals) but what was heartening was to see Fox channel running a special on Unforgettable as well. Videos from the press conference and the tour were beamed by an hour on the channel with international repute! No wonder, LA is rightly termed, as an international center of entertainment
While there is quite some 'khushi' in the Unforgettable camp, there is a hint of 'gham' as well! Amitabh Bachchan is ill and has been down with flu. It is widely suspected that Shekhar is the reason behind that! Reason? He caught flu the moment he landed in Toronto and while he has more or less recovered, seemingly it has been passed on to Big B! Last one heard, everyone is laughing around and keeping a distance from the composer!!!

Flu means that Amitabh Bachchan has been out of circulation for two days now. So while all the youngsters are having fun and attending press conferences and cracking jokes and roaming around, the Senior B is keeping all precautions to be in his best shape before the mega event on the night of 26th July. Being grounded by Mrs. Jaya Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, Big B has his laptop for company and is keeping himself busy blogging with his fans and followers around the globe!

Meanwhile, if Madhuri Dixit has made nostalgia come alive all over again for her US fans, Aishwarya Rai is turning out to be the perfect representation of the Indian film industry. She is enjoying a pleasant double role here. While for a wide section she is representing India, for quite a few Americans she is being treated as 'one of them' due to her presence in International cinema for last so many years. She is being queried about the release of the latest installment of 'The Pink Panther' and other impending Hollywood projects. However, not to be carried away and respecting the troupe she is a part of; Ash is sending out clear vibes that she is an Indian at heart and well demonstrated her priorities.

Going by the true spirit of 'chilling out', everyone went for the screening of 'The Dark Knight'. While Abhishek, Aishwarya and Riteish couldn't resist having a dekko at the film within a day of their landing at LA, Vishal and Shekhar went a day later! Once again, appreciation for the special effects and action in the film came for all around appreciation.

- A lot happened in terms of Bollywood meeting Hollywood over the week gone by. While the team of 'Kambakth Ishq' can't top going gaga over Sylvester Stallone, the team of Unforgettable too had an encounter, which would be unforgettable for them in years to come. They came across face to face with Kevin Costner in the hotel where they all are staying. Costner was in town for the premier of his latest movie 'Swing Vote' and met everyone individually. He has been invited for the show and it has to be seen if he too gets bitten by the Bollywood big!

- Those who visited Universal Studios to witness the shooting of 'Kambakth Ishq' were in for some surreal moments awaiting them. It was quite an experience to see Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and the likes to be shooting on the sets of a Hollywood studio, something that is unprecedented. There were countless onlookers at the shoot was in progress. Later in the evening, Sabeer Khan (director of 'Kambakth Ishq') celebrated his birthday by taking Vishal, Shekhar, and Anvita (dialogue and lyrics writer of the film) for a private gathering in a Japanese gathering. Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, and the film's crew joined them as well. All of them have been extended an invitation for the show now!

- On the personal front, even Vishal and Shekhar were in for some surreal moments as they got to spend some quality time with Madhuri Dixit all by themselves. The two were strolling around in a mall where they happened to see Madhuri as well. She, along with her husband, looked like a little lost in finding directions in the mall and was looking for a mall. This is when the composer duo came for her rescue (!) and bailed her out. Smiling ever since then, they haven't stopped gushing and blushing! Jokes apart, one facet of hers which has been managed to impress them both is her pleasant and chilled out nature. Not carrying any airs or starry tantrums around her, Madhuri stayed on to be humble-as-ever in her conversations!

- Talking more about Madhuri, highlight of the evening of July 26 is going to be, what else, but the coming together of the Queen and Ash for the 'Dola Dola' number. Envisaged to be executed at a grand scale, everyone is looking out with a bated breath for this one performance. Looking at the response in Trinidad where maximum applause came for anything and everything which was pure Indian in nature and presentation, it won't be surprising if this Ismail Darbar composition goes to win accolades all over again.

Stay tuned!

Yash Chopra’s directorial venture on hold till 2009. His choices SRK and Madhuri weren’t available

Will you leave me hanging? Yash Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan
Yash
Chopra is keen to get behind the camera for his directorial comeback.
Accord-ing to rumours, Chopra has a script and wants his two favourites, Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit, to play the lead roles in the film.

In limbo

A source reveals, “Yashji has been working on a script for quite some time now. The movie has the same tone as all his previous love stories; however, this one has a mature undertone. Beta Aditya has co-written the script. Yashji wanted to start his film before his son’s but Adi started shooting for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, earlier this month. This happened because the actors Chopra Sr wants for the project could give him the dates.”

SRK’s dates were with Karan Johar, but later those dates were given away to Adi The source continues, “Madhuri told Yashji to shoot the film in the US, as she wants to be close to her family. She doesn’t want to travel back to India. During the making of Aaja Nachle, Yash Raj Films built a crèche at the studio, so she could have her kids with her at all times. However this time, Madhuri feels that her kids will be happier in their environment rather than in India. That wasn’t possible, and Yashji had to put his plans on hold. He now wants to oversee his next mega film RNBDJ before starting his project.”

A spokesperson for Yash Raj Films says, “Yashji is definitely planning his next film. In all probability, the film will go on the floors next year. We haven’t decided who to cast as the movie is in scripting stages. As far as Madhuri being approached by us to do this film, it’s not true. He didn’t even meet her while she in town a few weeks back.”

The much-touted tour of song-and-dance shows spearheaded by the Bachchans will kick off in July this year. Besides providing entertainment to Bollywood buffs, the tour will also aim to spread awareness about global warming.

There has been much shuffling in the ensemble of performers of ‘The Unforgettable Tour’ but the show’s producers Wizcraft International Entertainment have managed to rope in enough of big stars to give the extra sheen to the musical shows.

The Tour will be held over 26 countries including Canada, USA, England, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and countries in Africa and the Middle East.

Helmed by Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, the tour will reportedly kick off on July 18 at the Roger's Center in Toronto, Canada.

It can be recalled that it was here that the first announcement of tour was made by Aishwarya and Abhishek last year. The tour will also feature Bollywood celebrities like Preity Zinta, Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh and possibly Saif Ali Khan.

The Stars: Amitabh Bachchan

He is Famous For his great acting and personality, and for giving us such super hits like Deewar, Suhaag, Muqaddar Ka Sikander, etc. He is also known as the first Bollywood action hero.

Looks like there are no limits for this super-star and once the "Angry Young Man" of Bollywood.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya is often acclaimed as the most beautiful woman in the world.

She had her first commercial success in the Tamil movie Jeans (1998), and came to the attention of Bollywood in the Hindi movie, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Bachchan made his debut with J.P. Dutta`s Refugee (2000). After that, his career consisted of films that went un-noticed at the box office.

It was not until 2004, that the actor delivered a hit and a critically acclaimed performance, in the films Dhoom & Yuva.

Since then, Bachchan has starred in films that have been commercially and critically successful and has established himself as one of the leading actors of the industry.

Preity Zinta

A criminal psychology graduate, Zinta made her acting debut in Dil Se in 1998, followed by Soldier in the same year.

She won a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for both films, and was later recognised for her performance as a teenage single mother in Kya Kehna.

She was later noted for her portrayal of independent, modern Indian women in Salaam Namaste and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, overseas top grossers. Zinta thus has established herself as a leading actress of Hindi cinema.

Ritesh Deshmukh

He made his debut in 2003 with Tujhe Meri Kasam which was an average hit at the box office. He became a known face after the 2004 comedy Masti which established him as an actor. He has mainly taken on comic roles, rather than serious roles.

He has since appeared in several successful comedy films including Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, Malamaal Weekly and Apna Sapna Money Money.

Recently, he was seen in the multi-starrer action film Cash , Heyy Babyy and Dhamaal which were quite successful at the box office.

His success came to its peak in 2007, when he starred in four consecutive commercial hits. Having done so, he has thus established himself as one of the prominent actors of the Hindi film industry.

Music: Vishal & Shekhar

Vishal-Shekhar are a music directing duo for Bollywood films. They have had a number of successes including Om Shanti Om, Tara Rum Pum, Salaam Namaste, Dus and Bluffmaster.

The duo rose in prominence when they composed the score for the film Jhankaar Beats, which included the hit song tu aashiqui hai. Their efforts paid off when they won the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent for Jhankaar Beats.

Vishal Dadlani is also the vocalist of Mumbai-based electronic band Pentagram, and was a sometime-VJ at Channel V. Shekhar is a trained classical singer and has a sound base of Indian music.

Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, who won many hearts with her million-dollar-smile and returned to the silver screen with Aaja Nachle after a five-year hiatus last year, has been named among the Padma Shri awardees this year.

The ravishing actress has several hits to her credit, including Tezaab, Dil, Dil To Pagal Hain and Devdas.

Though her comeback film, after marriage to a US-based doctor and two kids, proved to be a dud at the box office, Madhuri remained unfazed. "I have never been a part of number game and we are not the racing horses who should be numbered. Either the work you do is good or bad. I have come back not because I miss the media archlights or being written about... it's secondary. I missed my craft!" she was quoted as saying.

Madhuri forayed into filmdom with Abodh in 1986 and was catapulted to fame with the hit dance number Ek Do Teen... in Tezaab (1988).

There was no looking back for Madhuri who went on to give a string of hits like Dayavan and Ram Lakhan. She bagged the Filmfare Best Actress Award for her performance in Dil, in which she starred opposite Aamir Khan. She once again walked away with the coveted award for her role in "Beta".

Madhuri's electrifying dance number Choli ke peechche... in Khalnayak proved a huge hit and her fan following simply soared.

She repeated the success story in Bollywood blockbuster Hum Aapke Hain Koun, where she shared screen space with Salman Khan and bagged yet another Filmfare. Her powerful performance in mega hit Dil To Pagal Hai won her a fourth best actress award.

The dancing diva also charmed renowned Indian painter MF Hussain, who cast her in his film Gaja Gamini.

In 2001, Madhuri was awarded the National Citizens Award, which recognises excellence in various activities affecting national life. The very next year she starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's mega-budget Devdas with Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. Not only did her acting earn rave reviews, she also bagged a Filmfare Award for best supporting actress.

It was after Devdas that she decided to take a break from Bollywood and devote more time to her family in the US.
