“A” or “A”! Who is better, who should be the winner? This question flummoxed SVOI Chhote Ustaad show watchers, be it the judges or the celebrity guests until the very last episode and none of them could come up with a single choice. It was left on the public to decide their choice. Well, they have passed their verdict and have made their choice. In the melody packed grandiose Grand Finale today at Mumbai, legenadary SuperStar Amitabh Bachchan crowned the winner of the much coveted Chhote Ustaad title and crown. It is none other than – the very talented, the heart-throb of millions, the singing sensation - Style Ben Aishwarya Majmudar, from Ahmedabad!!!!

In a tough and gripping race to the crown, Aishwarya defeated fellow finalists, another extremely talented sensation - Banglar Gorbo Lady jasoos Anvesha Duttagupta. The venue of the Grand Finale was packed to capacity and showcased some brilliant performances by all featuring a mix of new and old popular songs. Hosted by Abhaas while Shaan too pitching in, the show featured performances by the eliminated contestants, Shaan, Abhaas, the judges, Group performance by Abhijeet Sawant, Rahul Vaidya, Ishmeet and Himani; the two finalists, the two A’s also made Isha Kopikar and Malaika Arora Khan dance to their tunes! Celeberity guest list included Amitabh Bachchan, Juhi Chawla with the whole Bhootnath team, Ismail Darbar, Satish Shah, actor Priyanshu Singer Abhijeet; star cast of Bidaai and Santaan and off course the two ladies- Mallaika and Isha.

The Judges Favorite Award from the eliminated participants was awarded to Sonya and Amul presented medals to both the finalists. Apart from the prize money, trophy and lots of accolades, Aishwarya goes home richer by another Rs.1 Lakh, which she earned as a special prize gifted by Singer Abhijit to the winner. The stage is all set to witness yet another close contest between two musical prodigies!! After weeks of nail biting moments into Scaryland and back into Fairyland, Anwesha Dattagupta and Aishwarya Majmudar’s dreams and aspirations to be the most sensational Bollywood’s playback singers will finally be decided on Saturday, 5th April at 8 pm (Live) only on Star Plus!!

The finest of singing talent and the first two female finalists ever on an Indian TV reality show, Anwesha and Aishwarya vie for the most prestigious title of the season as they contend for the title of Amul Star Voice of India’s Chhote Ustaad. The judges Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Kanjawala and Pritam Chakraborty also wonder who amongst these two voices will win the title. Their fate rests in the hands of the Indian audience.

Last week saw the grand homecoming of Anwesha Dattagupta at Kolkata. This week, the Chhote Ustaad team traveled west, to the city of our Stylebhen Aishwarya Majmudar. Needless to say, both the girls received an ostentatious welcome from Aishwarya’s hometown. Present at the event to cheer the girls, was Bollywood beauty Bipasha Basu who added more spice to the occasion with her enchanting demeanour and encouraging words. With her hit number No Entry playing in the background, Bipasha was given a grand welcome by host, Abhaas Joshi.

Maintaining the flavour of Gujarat, Abhaas began the episode with Dhol Baaje (Hum Dil de Chuke Sanam. Aishwarya followed suit with a rapturous performance of ‘Hey Rang Lo’ (A Gujarati Folk Song). Anwesha was not one to lag behind in delivering flawless performances. This time, our Banglar Gorvo, adorned in a gorgeous Gujarati attire delivered a flawless rendition of Kem Chhey (Jis Desh mein Ganga Rehta Hai) in true Gujarati Spirit. Being thick friends, both the girls proved through the last two weeks that they could perform well in each other’s mother tongue just as in their own in the true spirit of national integration. Besides the judges, they had Bipasha Basu swaying to their tunes. Shreya and Bipasha were thrilled by Anwesha’s perfect Gujarati performance and appealed to the audience to support her Choti Behen from Bengal. The girls and Abhaas encouraged by the warmth she exuded, sang Beedi Jalai Le (Omkara) for her and Bipasha definitely couldn’t resist joining them on stage to shake a leg with them.

The event was entertaining with power-packed performances by Voice of India contestants Irfan and Mirande. Irfan sang Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai (Gangster), a song dedicated to Bipasha while Mirande performed Mind Blowing Mahia (Cash) for the Chhote Ustad finalists. There was also a segment in which the girls dedicated songs to their parents. The parents of both finalists said that they were very proud of their daughters as now they were called “Aishwarya and Anwesha’s parents”. Aishwarya and her father, Tushar Majmudar, also sang Ek Chatur Naar together which reflected the beautiful relationship they shared. A segment of the show was dedicated to the Gurus. Aishwarya sang Jaan-e-Jaan (Saawariya) for her Gurus and Kunal Ganjawala. Kunal said that this was the toughest song that he had sung and that Aishwarya had captured the emotions beautifully. Anwesha sang Dupatta Tera (Partner), another song sung by Kunal. Kunal and Shreya both blessed the girls and wished them luck in their journey ahead. Also, Aishwarya’s Gurus made a vote appeal for both the girls.

The finalists are now geared up for a Face-off on 5th April, (9pm onwards on Star Plus). The musical evening will see performances by all the twelve Chhote Ustaads as they perform on a single platform in the presence of esteemed and senior guests like Bollywood Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan. It’s a moment that not only the judges are waiting for but viewers across India will watch with bated breath as to who between Aishwarya and Anwesha will walk away with the crown.

- This flamboyant 14 year old is a prodigy in the actual sense of the word. She is not only trained in Indian Classical music but also in western classical music and has given stage performances across the globe.

This 13 year old artist trained in Indian Classical music aspires to become a playback singer. This has been her first platform to showcase her talent and has proved her mettle through the weeks in Chhote Ustaad with mind-blowing performances.

- Having gained support from her hometown hroughout the show, Aishwarya has always been in Fairy Land and the judges favourite. She has also been supportive of Anwesha when the latter gives a better performance.

- Anwesha has been in Scary Land a few times due to initial lack of support from her home audiences. However brushing all odds aside, Anwesha has emerged a tough competitor to Aishwarya. Her excellent renditions through the weeks have given her the title of Banglar Gorvo (Pride of Bengal) and now she has immense support from her hometown.

- Aishwarya has proved to be a versatile singer. Through these weeks, she has been seen performing on a variety of songs of diverse genres to extraordinary perfection.

- Anwesha has been very strong in her tone and accurate with her pitch. All her performances have been marked by perfection backed by her divine voice.

She has been compared to innumerable artists like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

Analysts say that she is a perfect replacement for Shreya Ghoshal.

Both have them have seen highs and lows in their performances during the weeks. But both of them have been thick friends and supportive of each other all along. Both the girls are singers par excellence and have left the judges and audiences spellbound by their divine notes. Both excel in their own styles and take music to a different level each time they perform. But who will take away the prestigious Chhote Ustaad trophy and the music contract with BIG Music???

Reality shows are bound to go for city tours and get all the audience at their feet. This time the crew of reality show Chhote Ustaad visited Kolkata, and this time with a huge surprise for the entire audience. There was huge anxiety among the crowd as the top Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee who hails from Bengal left the audience spell bound with her gorgeous persona and friendly attitude. Rani was welcomed by show host Abhaas with the melodious tune of Saathiya title track, where she comfortably mingled with the crowd and addressed them in Bengali. Rani had a gala of time as she dragged judges and requested everyone around to shake a leg with her and also cheered up the two finalists. Aishwarya and Anvesha were at their best and Anvesha the local girl got Rani and the crowd going in trance with her awesome performance. Rani liked the girls so much that she had already convinced Music Director Pritam to get these ladies in her next film. The event became a complete entertainment as Rani sang a Bhajan for the crowd and performed on some of the tracks from her film. The thing to notice is Rani cheered up the Voice Of India season1 contestants also and this time she is here with Chhote Ustaad. It seems like she has an old bonding with this reality show. But the main question still remains that who would be the winner from the two ladies? Of course the best one. What do you think??

It is not everyday that one gets to see Salman Khan at his humorous best. Salman made a grand entry on the sets Amul Star Voice of India Chhote Ustad. He swept the crowd as he stepped onto the stage with his hit song ‘Hai Rama Rama Ho’ from the film, Lucky. Once Salman gets into the groove then there’s no stopping him. He danced with the Chhote Ustad’s contestants, Aishwarya, Anvesha and Prakriti.

But the real treat was something totally unexpected. Salman on the request of his kid fans and audience removed his shirt in the true ‘Salman-i-shtyle’. He flexed his muscles and drove the audience wild. "We all, including the audience went crazy when he took off his shirt. This was the best episodic shoot I have ever experience; it was filled with fun", said the Chhote Ustad contestant, Aishwarya who has been a big fan of Salman Khan since her childhood.
