Now, just when I thought this Mallika Sherawat girl is somewhat a bimbette, comes the chirp from my birdie that a quirk of hers actually inspired her Ugly Aur Pagli director, Sachin Khot.

It seems, Mallika has a habit of doodling and whenever she's sitting idle, she starts scribbling on a piece of paper without even realising it. When Khot saw this in between shots, he loved the habit so much that he decided to incorporate the same in Mallika's character in Ugly Aur Pagli.

The only change Khot made was that instead of designs, Mallika doodles words that actually lead Ranvir into a fantasy world. It fits into the film completely. Mallika plays a 21st century woman who is calling the shots in the relationship and Ranvir plays a loser who follows her completely.
