Opening 2008 with a bang, Bollywood braveheart, Akshay Kumar, kicks into action with his first blockbuster release of the year, and certainly well worth the wait it has been, as our favourite action hero will have audiences on the edge of their seats when ‘Tashan’ unleashes in cinemas across the UK and internationally on 25th April 2008.

After riding on a thundering wave of box office success throughout 2007, Bollywood superstar, Akshay, now takes control of the gearstick as the driving force of Bollywood’s most ambitious road trip movie to date. Playing desi wannabe gangster, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, in his own, inimitable ‘tashan’ (style), Akshay Kumar heads a stellar cast in a diesel-fuelled road trip across India, taking in the vast expanse of Rajasthan, screeching to a halt at Haridwar, among other pit stops along the way. Bollywood bad boy, Akshay, will have audiences clutching to their seats as he takes them on a fast paced journey that heralds a whole new era in Bollywood filmmaking. Warning: this film is not for the faint-hearted!

‘Tashan’ marks a welcome return to the action flick genre that first clinched Akshay Kumar’s success in the Bollywood film industry, incorporating state-of-the-art special effects and captivating action sequences which have been performed by Akshay himself. ‘Tashan’ will have audiences gasping for breath and marks the first in a series of high octane action flicks the screen icon has lined up for 2008.
