Despite her stellar performance in Parineeta, Pradeep Sarkar decided to replace Vidya Balan with Rani Mukerji for his next film, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. Vidya was reportedly hurt about this, but it’s time to make amends now, as Sarkar has cast her once again for his upcoming film with Abhishek Bachchan, to be made under the Yash Raj banner. Abhishek and Vidya previously shared screen space in Guru, but this is the first time they will be seen as a couple. While Abhishek didn’t have any hits besides Guru last year, Vidya became a box office darling with her performances in Heyy Babyy and Bhool Bhulaiya.

Now, we just have to wait and see if their much-delayed onscreen pairing actually clicks with audiences.
