Chandni Chowk to China will see Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar and Ranvir Shorey grooving to the 70s hit song, Bombay Se Aaya Mera Dost. Composer Bappi Lahiri will be recreating his smash hit by retaining the same spirit, while adding a modern touch. Apparently, producer Rohan Sippy and director Nikhil Advani both felt this song was ideal for a particular situation in the movie and promptly bought the rights. It will be shot in China this April. Earlier, remixes were only on seen on music channels. Then Sippy came along and revived the 70s hit Sabse Bada Rupaiya for his film Bluffmaster. Now, he’s giving us another blast from the past.
Are we looking at the seeds of a new Bollywood phenomenon?
