Last night Shah Rukh Khan was awarded this year's newly instituted CNBC Entertainment Business Leader Award. An annual fair held by CNBC to honour head honchos of the corporate world in India chose SRK as Business Leader in the entertainment industry.
The award to Shah Rukh Khan was for his marketing skills used during the promotion of his film Om Shanti Om, Bollywood's biggest grosser in recent times. The event was held at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai, and was attended by the Ambanis, Tatas and Birlas. Surely it was an evening about power, money and this year SRK added glamour also to it.
